VIRGINIA CHARITABLE EVENTS
A combination of smart, engaging narratives with striking photography and illustration makes it a must-read for anyone interested in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Virginia Business Review covers charitable events around Virginia in our "Around Town" section. Though we do send writers and photographers to cover some events, we are pleased to consider publishing photos and articles submitted to us from you too!
We do ask that photos sent to us do not appear in any other publication and that any article(s) submitted are original in nature. Thank you.

What type of events are covered?
Events must be charitable in nature if not non-profit themselves and the event itself a charitable benefactor.
What format should the photos be sent?
Please send only digital pictures, PNG are best but JPEG will work. Pictures should be close-up and clear, must be of faces, not those of table decorations or the like. In addition, anyone pictured needs to be in focus and should be looking at the readers!
Please email images to Anell Music individually or or mail them on a flash drive or CD-ROM if you need. Please, do not neglect to enter contact information for not only the person submitting but well as the name of the charitable event, location and date.
We do not return CD-ROMs or Flash Drives sent to us so unless accompanied by an SASE, we cannot bear responsibility for them if they are damaged in the production process. If you wish to keep the original then please send us a copy of the original. Please note that we do discourage snapshots. Lastly, please send no more than fifteen photos per article.

Do I need any information included w/ photos?
Yes, please include a short article noting fundamental factors of the event — who, what, when, where, why, how many attended and how much money was raised. Please also enter a list recognizing all people photographed, their full name reported. Photos lacking this information will not be considered for publication.
Who gets included?
Virginia Business Review has dozens of requests for around town coverage each month. We absolutely look forward to hearing from you as we give every event full consideration to be listed.
What we cannot use
We reserve the right to not use photos at any time if we do not feel that they will reproduce well or are inappropriate in nature. Furthermore, we will not use photos of the same person with different groups in multiple photos, or photos of groups that cannot be identified by their affiliation name.
Time of publication
While it can take weeks to get an event in the Virginia Business Review because of the volume of the submissions we receive. We admire your patience as we look forward to sharing every story with the community!
